Barry's immediate family flew to Philadelphia to attend his graduation from the University of Penn. Seven (Bryan, Shannon, Colby, Courtney, Ciera, Joyce and Jerry) of us took a flight from San Jose to Philadelphia leaving on Saturday morning and arriving late afternoon. We met with Wayne, Tikie and Barry for pizza at the Independence Bar & Grill near our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn. Collie and Chris also joined us a little later that evening.
We spent the day, Sunday, walking around Philadelphia starting with Maggione's Bakery for breakfast and then to the Delaware River and back. We drove to Geno's for a Philly Cheesesteak for lunch. We also went to the University and walked around for awhile. Later we all enjoyed dinner at Devin's which also included Tikie's old-time friends, Tony, Amy and their daughter, Whitney.
We spent Monday attending the main graduation in the stadium and the School of Design graduation in front of Myerson Hall. We arrived at the stadium over an hour early. We ate lunch following the morning graduation at the Myerson Hall. And lots of pictures during the graduations and after the School of Design graduation. Eight of us plus Ciera ate dinner at Pietro's.
