Barry drove to San Diego to visit for the day

Slide show of the first three nights and two days at sea. The Carnival ship arrived Monday morning with two other ships. We boarded the ship in early afternoon and sailed later in the afternoon. We went to a show at 7:00pm and dinner at 8:15pm. On Tuesday Joyce, Lorraine and Marie played the slot tournament, we all attended the Captain's Reception at 7:00pm, dinner at 8:15pm in formal wear and two shows at 10:30 and 12:00pm. Wednesday included the spa, some bingo, gambling, wine tasting, resting and eating. We went to dinner at 8:15pm and a show at 10:30pm.

We arrived at Acapulco around noon on Thursday and began unloading at 1:00pm - some 2000 passengers. We got into two vans and toured the city starting with the cliff divers. The divers have a very tight union of some 75 divers of which we saw five divers. The rest of the tour consisted of viewpoints and shopping. Dinner back at the ship was open seating in the Empire Room at 8:00pm and a Mexican show at 10:00pm.

We arrived in the harbor of Zihuatanejo early Friday and some of us caught our designated tender into town. The rest of the group caught the next tender as we disembarked earlier than we anticipated. We walked around Zihuatanejo and did some shopping and had some drinks and nachos at one of the street cafes. We took a tour of Ixtapa and had lunch at the Ixtapa harbor. The harbor was built on an alligator preserve and the agreement was that the alligators stayed until they reached a certain size. We saw an alligator in the water. Dinner was back on the ship at 8:15pm and "Dancing to the Big Band" show at 10:30pm.

We arrived in the Manzanillo harbor early Saturday morning. We were off the ship by 8:00am and on an eight hour tour by 9:00am. The tour included a roadside stop, a museum and shopping in Colima, and lunch in Comala. Our final stop was the architectural ruins of the Parimides in Comala. Back on the ship, the 7:00pm show was cancelled because the performers had flight problems and dinner was at 8:15pm in the Empire Room.

Sunday and Monday was spent at sea traveling back to San Diego. There was a slot tournament on Sunday, tour party before a formal dinner at the Supper Club and a tour of the ice sculptures at midnight. Dave got into the final round of the Blackjack tournament on Monday. We toured the galley and showed up for dinner in bathrobes in that all of our clothes were packed and stored for the morning disembarkment. We successfully disembarked the ship on Tuesday morning and caught an early flight home.
